How does it work?

Good question! The Miniscope works by having 2 curved lenses inside, precisely at the right focal lenght for maximum magnification!

By adjusting the distance between both the lenses but also the object itself, you’ll be able to get a sharp, close-up image.

The distance between the lenses are adjusted by turning the 2 black wheels, one at the very top and one a bit further down. And the distance to the object itself can be adjusted with well…. your hands!

And yes, we can assure you it’s much better than a magnifying glass!😅

What's the magnification?

The Miniscope can zoom 60-120X!

Recommended age?

The Miniscope is suitable for children between the ages of 3-12.

But we’ve seen some child-geniuses as young as 2 years old being able to use it, although with some assistance!

FAQ

Why not a magnifying glass?

Glad you asked! A regular magnifying glass can zoom 2x-6x making things larger, the miniscope can zoom up to 120x! Instead of seeing an ant larger (magnifying glass) the miniscope let’s you see in detail each strand of hair!

Can it be used with glasses?

Short answer: Yes! The glasses will not affect the microscope’s focal length (image) at all. You also won’t encounter any problems with the glasses getting in the way while using the microscope. You’re good to go!
